This page explains what this website collects about you, why, where it goes, and how you can see it, change it or have it deleted. It’s written in plain words on purpose.

Who looks after your information

This website belongs to Lynne Goldberg Meditation. Lynne Goldberg is the person responsible for protecting your personal information. You can reach her at hello@lynnegoldbergmeditation.com.

What we collect and why

We collect what you type into a form on this site, plus the few things listed further down this page (where you came from, server logs and, only if you accept cookies, analytics). Here’s what each form asks for:

• The free meditation: your first name and email, so we can send you the meditation and Lynne’s occasional emails about her book and her work.
• The pre-order gifts: your first name, email, the store you ordered from and your order number, so we can send your gifts. If you tick the newsletter box, you’ll also get Lynne’s newsletter. If you don’t, you only get the gifts.
• The Soul Shift Method waitlist: your first name and email, so we can tell you when it’s ready.
• Contact and Work With Me: your name, email, what your message is about and the message itself, so Lynne can reply to you.

Each form also notes which page you sent it from. The sign-up forms also note the website or link that brought you here, so Lynne can see which places help people find her.

Where it goes

• A private copy of every form is kept on this website, which is hosted by Web Hosting Canada.
• Sign-ups, gift claims and the waitlist go to MailerLite, the service that sends Lynne’s emails.
• Contact and Work With Me messages are emailed to Lynne’s inbox, and emails you send to hello@ go to her Google Workspace inbox.
• Like most websites, the hosting company keeps standard server logs, which include your internet address, for security and to keep the site running. Its security tool also checks visits for bots.
• To stop spam, the forms keep a scrambled code made from your internet address for ten minutes.

We never sell or rent your information, and we only share it with the services on this page so they can do these jobs.

Information that leaves Quebec

Some of these services keep information outside Quebec and Canada, for example in the United States or Europe: MailerLite (Lynne’s emails), Google (email, Google Fonts and, if you accept cookies, Google Analytics), Microsoft (Microsoft Clarity, if you accept cookies) and Apple (Lynne’s email inbox). They protect it under their own privacy and security rules.

Emails from Lynne

Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and one click takes you off the list. MailerLite tells us when an email is opened or a link in it is clicked, which shows us which emails are useful to people.

Cookies and analytics

Nothing on this site tracks you unless you click Accept on the cookie bar. If you accept:

• Google Analytics (by Google) counts visits and shows which pages and buttons people use.
• Microsoft Clarity (by Microsoft) records how visitors use the pages, like where they click, how far they scroll, and replays of visits, so Lynne can fix anything confusing.

Both use cookies (small files in your browser), such as _ga, _clck and _clsk, and Microsoft can also set its own cookies, such as MUID. If you click Decline, they don’t load and those cookies aren’t set. You can change your answer any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Your browser remembers your choice for one year, and then the site asks again.

The site’s fonts come from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google to load them when a page opens. The site also links to bookstores and social media sites. When you click through to one of them, its own privacy rules apply.

How long we keep it

We keep your sign-ups, claims and messages until you ask us to delete them. Unsubscribing stops the emails, but it doesn’t delete your details. If you want them gone, email hello@lynnegoldbergmeditation.com and we’ll delete them from the website, from MailerLite and from Lynne’s inbox. Google and Microsoft keep analytics information for a limited time that’s set in their tools.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we have about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to take back your consent. Email hello@lynnegoldbergmeditation.com and we’ll answer within 30 days. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

This site is meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 14.

Changes to this page

If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
