Lynne Goldberg: And I love my mother, but, you know, I'm going to choose how I'm going to respond to this event in real time, in this present moment. And that's, I think, the biggest choice that we get to decide. I'm not going to be run on autopilot just because that's how it happened.

[Frankie Boyer asks how to get into a practice.]

Lynne Goldberg: Yeah. So, there's so many ways that you can practice, but one of the easiest things for me is to actually tie it to something that you're already doing. So, if you're waking up in the morning and you're having a cup of coffee, then tie it to that routine already, habit stack, make it be part of your day-to-day life. I love my routine in the morning: I wake up, I go to the bathroom, and then I sit down. And that's my time in the morning. And then what I find happens throughout the day is that there's always opportunity. So, every time I get an alert on my phone, that is a signal for me to take a breath. And it's a conscious choice that I do all day long that I remind myself with little alerts that we all have coming at us all day long. That's going to be my signal to myself. And then, of course, I also practice. I have a practice in the evening. It's, to me, a beautiful way to wrap up my day.
